Health Benefits of the Farmers Market

September 27, 2015

I am absolutely love farmers markets and feel so lucky to live in a city that has an abundance of them. It’s become a ritual to go to the farmers market in downtown Salt Lake City every Saturday and if I can’t make it one week for whatever reason, I feel as if I have missed out on an important part of my week. The food served there is fantastic and it’s such a thrill to see all of the different fruits and vegetables that are in season and to do my part in supporting local organizations. What’s even better is that most of the produce that is available at the farmers market is cheaper than in your regular supermarket, and generally fresher. Continue Reading…

Chobani Cherry Dark Chocolate: A Healthy Indulgence

September 13, 2015

Mmm, I cannot get over chocolate and how good it is. My husband was really in France for a conference and he brought me back the most incredible bar of dark chocolate. I’ve been trying very hard not to eat all of it because even though dark chocolate is significantly healthier than your standard milk or white chocolate, a whole bar of it still has a fair amount of calories.

Chobani cherry dark chocolate is a healthy snack

Enter Chobani, America’s #1 Greek Yogurt brand, is kicking off a new season and saying #HelloSummer with 15 new product varieties. One of those products being their new incredibly delicious and indulgent Cherry Dark Chocolate flavor. I am a BIG fan of Chobani and Greek yogurts in general so I was very, very excited to try this new flavor and squealed a little at the big box of Chobani that arrived at my doorstep. The Cherry Dark Chocolate Chobani has been incredibly successful at keeping me away from my huge bar of dark chocolate. Made with only natural ingredients, Chobani Indulgent™ includes the richest dark chocolate and creamiest yogurt, the new flavor Cherry Dark Chocolate is so decadent and silky, you’ll remember to save room for dessert. Eat With Leah

September 11, 2015

After months of anticipation, Leah Itsines finally released her e-cookbook ‘Eat with Leah‘, woo hoo! Not to freak Leah out, but I was expecting a lot from her.

Eat with Leah

For those of you who do not know who Leah is, you may know her sister, Kayla Itsines. Leah is an accomplished woman in her own right – she is a personal trainer and she has a massive Instagram following. I’ve followed Leah for over a year and I’ve always appreciated how funny and down to earth she seems. I especially appreciate her love for real and good food! As much as I like healthified recipes, some people just go too far. I like to make and eat healthier recipes that everyone can enjoy and Leah gets that. Her e-cookbook isn’t a ‘diet’ book. It is full of flavorful meals with healthy ingredients that combine to make a flavor bomb in your mouth. My husband and I have greatly enjoyed trying out her recipes and literally every recipe I have tried so far has been fantastic. I am excited to introduce you to my favorite recipes from ‘Eat with Leah’! And just as an FYI, these are all my photos so please tag me if you use them on your social media 🙂 Continue Reading…
