Hi Alice
I love your blog, and I am particularly interested in your posts about kayla’s bikini body guide. Would you recommend? I’m considering it but it’s so expensive and im a student. But I’m serious about getting fit, I’ve been trying to eat clean and exercise about 5 times a week since January and I don’t seem to be getting results.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks
Michelle
Hi Michelle!
Thanks so much for stopping by Honestly Fitness. I am so thrilled you love my blog!
In answer to your question – yes, I would totally recommend it and I am planning on doing a review post at some point. I completely know how you feel – I am getting my master’s degree and do not have lots of money either, but if you make small changes like buying less coffee’s throughout the week, you will save enough over a few weeks to buy it!
I was kind of the same way. I was exercising regularly and eating very well but not seeing the results I wanted. Although I am still not where I want to be, I have toned up a lot so now I need to focus on more fat loss.
Hope this helps you and let me know if you have any more questions 🙂

I honestly cannot afford the Kayla Itsines guide because of how expensive it is from where I live. I just wanted to know, though, is it possible to also get toned up without it?
Hi Sonya!
Yes it certainly is! There are so many things you can do for free to help you get toned. There are many resources on Youtube you can use to help you like Blogilates (loads of Pilates videos for free showing you exercises to help tone you), yoga videos and just videos in general teaching you exercises to tone you.
Look up search terms such as ‘free toning routine/exercises’ on google and you will get so much information and free routine!
Hope this helps you, and good luck Sonya 🙂

Hello Alice!
Thank you for reviewing the product! I was kind of hesitant in buying her guide since it’s sort of pricey (but if it works, then it’s worth it right?). I was just wondering if you purchased a bundle kit or just the workout guide. I ate relatively healthy myself and don’t want to spend money on things that I might already know. Thanks a lot and keep up the good work! 🙂

Hello Kunchy!
Thanks for stopping by Honestly Fitness 🙂 I am glad you enjoyed my mini review series on the BBG workouts. I did not purchase the bundle kit, but I do have both eBooks. I would’ve purchased the bundle if that was an option haha. Honestly though, the nutrition guide isn’t too helpful for me personally but I like that it has a 7 day meal plan and some fun meal ideas. If you know a lot already, I would suggest buying the workouts and giving those a go, and then if you feel like you have not received the results you wanted, then perhaps giving the H.E.L.P eBook a go. But it is all up to you, and what you think is best.
I hope this helps and feel free to ask any more questions you may have 😀

Could you use something in place of the bosu ball? I’d like to do the workouts at home and it looks like if I had to buy a bosu ball it would be over $100.
Hi Steph,
There is no real substitute but my recommendation would be to buy it when you reach week 9 and then just return it when you finish Most place’s offer full refunds within 30 days. Other than that, Kayla recommends doing normal burpees instead of the bosu burpees (http://www.kaylaitsines.com.au/workouts/). Bosu balls are very versatile though, so if you do end up buying it just think of it as a long term investment in your health. They can be used to work out any body part!
Hope this helps,
Alice xxx
Hi! Your blog is great and I am so thankful that I found it while browsing the internet today. I am very tempted to try Kayla Itsines bikini guide. As it seems from your blog it has seemed to work great for you. However, I was just wondering if you also ordered the meal plan with it or just the bikini guide workout.
Thank you!
Morgan
Hi Morgan 🙂
I got both but only followed the workout eBook. Kayla has a bunch of free workouts posted on the blog on her website which you could check out to further help your decision!

Hello Alice!
I recently came across your blog and I just started the BBG. I just finished week two legs and cardio and it was so hard! I had trouble with the jump lunges and I could not do them as well as I liked to, so I feel like it will mess up my progress. Did you ever come across this with any of the workouts in the guide and do you think it will hinder my progress? Thanks!
-Kylie
Hello Kylie!
Jump lunges are extremely hard … this is my third round of the BBG and I still find them hard!!!
Just because you may not have done them as well as you like does not mean you haven’t made progress. I do understand how you feel and definitely felt the same way as I progressed along the BBG (at one point you need to do 50 jump lunges!!!).
Just keep giving it your all and you will get stronger and be able to do more and more without stopping in between and with good form. It absolutely will not hinder your progress … what would hinder your progress is you stopping the workouts all together.
I recommend trying to do jump lunges on other days as well just to build up strength. This is what I started doing after getting fed up at how hard they were 😛 xxx
Hi Alice! I have a question I would like to ask you. I want to get BBG 2.0 for my birthday or with birthday money and savings and I am just curious if you know what type of equipment I would need for it? If you don’t that’s okay.
Thanks for your time!
xx Aliseea
