Summer is fast approaching and with it is the heat. I know that a lot of women feel pressured to look a certain way during the summer season, but don’t let the pressure get to you! What is most important is feeling strong, healthy and confident in yourself. For me, being strong, healthy and confident means doing my regular workouts and eating healthily. However, these past few weeks, I have added a cool new tool to my active-wear arsenal which I want to share with you – Physiclo!
What is Physiclo?
Physiclo is an apparel/technology based brand that have designed “the first and only compression tights with resistance” which are designed to engage your muscles more, enhance cardio, and maximize your workout results. They make compression tights, shorts and capris.
When Physiclo reached out to me and asked if I wanted to try a pair of their capris, I was so intrigued and jumped at the chance! I keep up with fitness tech and I had never heard of anything like what they were doing.
So, How Does it Work?
Physiclo’s compression workout gear is designed to activate muscles such as the hamstrings, quads and glutes by an additional 23% than normal. Because you are essentially creating more resistance, it actually results in boosting your heart rate and calories burned – up to 14% according to Physiclo. Pretty amazing considering you aren’t doing anything differently, right?!
Physiclo have run a couple of tests on their gear (hence the statistics I just gave – I did not make them up haha) and plan to do more studies in a few months. I’ll be sure to share the results with you all 🙂
What’s It Like to Wear Them and TRain in Them?
Okay, not going to lie – they feel very strange to put on and the fit in the crotch is a little loose (lol). I mean, the capris I got literally have resistance bands in them. Aside from the inital funny feeling, they are actually extremely comfortable and work well for a variety of workouts. I’ve done plyometric jump training in them, sprints, lifting and just regular fast-paced walking.
And let me tell you, it makes a difference! I remember the first time I wore them; I went for a 45-minute fast walk around my neighborhood and the next day my legs were surprisingly sore. It was surprising because normally my legs do not get that fatigued from a fast walk. I loved the fact that I could do one of my regular workouts yet reap the benefits.
While Physiclo’s gear is not cheap, realize that you are paying for the science that went into them and the high-quality material of the pants. I love the mix of mesh in the pants as it makes them look super stylish. The founder of Physiclo, Frank Yao, is actually a medical student at NYU who graduated with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins!
Honestly Fitness Approved
Physiclo’s compression capris have received my seal of approval! While I think the fit needs to be adjusted ever so slightly, all in all I loved the look and feel of them. And they were fantastic to workout in. They didn’t ride up or slip down during even the most intense of my HIIT sessions.
If you are looking to make a solid investment that will benefit your workout sessions, I would recommend getting a pair of Physiclo’s compression pants. And if you do, let me know what you think!
Honestly yours,
Alice

You look amazing in those leggings, Alice! It’s so cool that they’ve manufactured their clothing to actually enhance your performance! I think it would be amazing for speeding up progress in fitness!
Thanks, Cassie! And yeah, it’s super cool isn’t it? I love that it isn’t some gimmicky “oh don’t do any work and see results”–you still have to put in the work, and the pants just help things progress along faster!
hello my name is Francesca i just had a baby and wanna know how dose this workout plan work how many hours a week do you workout and in order for it to work what R the foods you like to have all in order to get Fit .
Hey Francesca! I apologize for the slow reply. This post is about a piece of workout clothing actually, not a workout plan itself. I would recommend you choose a workout plan that fits with your schedule and fitness level. I personally love the Fit Body App (I have a review post on it) because a) it gives you a whole range of different workouts and also calculates your macros and helps select meals for you based on your macros too. Hope that helps! With anything, it takes time (12-weeks or more typically) to see real and long-term results. Hope that helps you!
