What a gorgeous experiment this was! I’ve been really into sparkling water lately (I used to absolutely despise it), and so I picked up a can of La Croix when I was at the grocery store. When I got home, I was about halfway through drinking it when a lightbulb went off in my head. I realized that I had both mint and frozen raspberries … ding, ding, ding! Why not make a tasty and Valentine’s Day appropriate non-alcoholic spritzer?
Raspberry Mint Spritzer
To set the record straight, if I had wine, this would have been an alcoholic spritzer haha, although I do try and limit my alcoholic consumption. I’m of the opinion that I would rather eat my calories than drink them and I am not a fan of the adverse side effects that can come from drinking too much alcohol. However, you can definitely add some wine into this raspberry mint spritzer so go ahead and do that if you have some at home.
I recommend pairing this drink with my raspberry french toast with coconut chocolate sauce or cauliflower skillet hash for a memorable Valentine’s Day breakfast for your honey.
- La Croix - cranraspberry flavor
- Handful of frozen or fresh raspberries
- 5-10 chopped mint leaves
- Simply put the raspberries, ice and mint to a glass and top off with the La Croix sparkling water. As simple as that!
- You can add wine to make it a 'proper' spritzer or any other alcohol of choice.
Happy Valentine’s Day!
Before I say goodbye, I wanted to wish you all a happy Valentine’s Day! Whether you are single or in a committed relationship, I hope you have a happy and fun day surrounded by your loved ones. And don’t forget to make them this raspberry mint spritzer 😉
